It is situated 2km to the east of Lake Elementaita in Nakuru County. It is one of the African Earlt Age Stone site and dates about one millions years back.
Louis Leakey is the founder of this site and discovered it in 1928 journey in the exposed to riverbed of Karisndusi. Leakey made two more trips to the site that is, 1931 qnd 1946 for more research.
